MISSION STATEMENT

The Minnesota Cambodian Buddhist Society Inc. (MCBS) is a non-profit 501 0 (3) religious organization. The MCBS, having the Triple Gem (the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha) as its center, and desirous of welcoming everyone, proposes as its mission to:

1. Promote loving kindness, compassion and peace by expounding the teaching of the Buddha (the Dharma).
2. Foster virtue.
3. Support the practice of meditation as a means to attain wisdom.
4. Reach out to the community in service.
5. Engage the youth in Religious and Communal Life.
6. Preserve and develop the Cambodian traditional and cultural values.
